Websites for bakeries in Jersey

Websites for bakeries in Jersey

Jersey bakeries sell to the same faces all winter and to a stream of visitors all summer. The site tells the regulars what is new and tells the visitors where you are and when you open.

What matters for your trade here.

Two seasons, one site

In summer, visitors staying in St Brelade or St Helier search for breakfast and a bakery near them. In winter, it is the parish regulars. Your site serves both: the address and opening hours up top for visitors, and a banner for the regulars when the Jersey wonders are back or you are closed for a week.

Island produce sells

Jersey customers notice local ingredients, and visitors go looking for them. If you use island butter, cream or eggs, name them on the site. One honest line about where things come from does more for a Jersey bakery than a page of adjectives about passion. We write it in your words, not ours.

Selling beyond the counter

Some Jersey bakeries take orders for hampers and gift boxes, and visitors want things sent home. If that is you, the site can grow into a shop that takes SumUp or PayPal, which both work for Jersey businesses. Start with the counter site and add the shop when you are ready.

Sweet Celebrations.

Sweet Celebrations

A traditional sweet shop in the Central Market in Jersey, selling online through SumUp. We rebuilt the shop with every product and a page for sweet cart hire.

What your website looks like.

The layout

A cream page with your name centred, a big headline beside a short line about you, a full width photo of the counter, your story on a deep green band, the bakes as a priced list, a look inside and where to find you.

Your photos

Four photo spots, made for the counter full, a tray of bakes, bread on the shelves and the shop from outside. Until you add yours, free example photos show you how it looks.

Good to know.

Can visitors find us from their hotel?

Yes. Your address, parish and a map link go on the page, and the words on the site say where you are in plain terms so a search for a bakery nearby brings you up. Opening hours sit next to the address, because that is the second thing a visitor checks.

Do you write the privacy page for Jersey?

Yes. Jersey businesses get privacy and terms pages written to Jersey law, not a UK copy. If you only run a counter and a contact form, it is short and plain, and you can edit it.

Can the site take orders for Christmas and Easter?

Yes, with an enquiry form for cakes and hampers that lands in your inbox, with lead times written on the page. If you want to take payment online for those orders, the site can be set up as a shop with SumUp or PayPal.

How much does it cost?

£99 for the website, then £20 a month hosting. £119 gets it live: the site plus your first month.

How quickly is it live?

Within 48 hours of payment, on your own web address.

Can I change it later?

Yes. You get your own login to change the words and photos whenever you like, and we make small changes for you when you ask.
