How it works
Every step from your first message to your site being live, including the handful of small things we will need from you. Nothing here is a surprise later.
Stage one
You see a real design before any money changes hands. If you do not like it, we shake hands and that is that.
Tell us what your business does and roughly what you are after. A few lines is plenty.
One number, agreed up front, so there is nothing to work out later. No obligation.
A real concept using your own branding, not a stock template with your name dropped in. You look at it and decide.
Stage two
We send you our terms and you reply to confirm. Then half the build cost, and we start properly.
Your words, your photos, your colours. Two rounds of changes are included, so you get to say what is wrong and we fix it.
The second half is due once the site is finished. If we are hosting it, that is when it goes live on your own address. If you are taking the site to host yourself, the full folder of files is sent over as soon as the balance is paid. Most sites are done within one to two weeks.
Your part
We do everything we can ourselves. There are four things we genuinely cannot do on your behalf, because they belong to you and not to us. None takes more than a couple of minutes, and we will tell you when each one is coming.
The one that actually takes a bit of thought. A paragraph about the business, a few lines about what you do, and any photos you have. If writing is not your thing, send us bullet points and we will shape them.
Half an hour, once
Enquiries from your site go straight to your inbox, never through us. We set that up using your email address, and the form provider emails you a short code to prove the address is yours. Forward us that email and we will finish it off.
Ten seconds
Your subscriber list needs to belong to you rather than to us, so the account has to be opened in your name. It is free, and you sign up with an email and a password. Send us the code it gives you for adding a signup box to a website, and we connect it, brand it to match and set up your welcome email.
Three minutes
On the fully managed plan we look after the listing people see when they search for you. Google only lets the owner hand that over, so you add us as a manager from your side. Two clicks, and you can remove us any time you like.
Two minutes
Everything else is handled by us: the build, the hosting, the domain, the certificate, the backups and the fiddly technical bits nobody should have to think about. Worth saying plainly, because people ask: your domain name is registered in your name and you are the legal owner of it. We look after it while you are on a plan, and if you ever leave, it goes with you.
Afterwards
If you are on one of the monthly plans, this is what carries on happening without you asking.
New prices, new photos, changed opening hours. You send us a message and we do it.
Your domain renews on time, your security certificate stays valid, and your site gets backed up. You never have to think about any of it.
No ticket system and no call centre. You message us and one of us answers.
You can leave whenever you like with one month's notice, and the site is yours to take with you.
