Websites for tutors in Glasgow

Glasgow parents search for a tutor when the prelims come back. Your site tells them what you teach, which levels, whether you have space this term and what other parents say.

What matters for your trade here.

Nationals, Highers and the Scottish system

Parents in Glasgow want a tutor who knows National 5 and Higher, not a site that talks about GCSEs. Say which subjects and levels you teach, and whether you prepare pupils for prelims and the exam diet. A tutor who uses the right words sounds like one who has done it before.

Students tutoring students

Glasgow has several universities and a lot of tutors who are students themselves, teaching from a flat in the West End or online. The site says who you are, your subject, your year or degree, and the places you have free, so a parent can tell at a glance whether you are what they need.

Online, at home or at theirs

Some tutors in Glasgow travel to the pupil, some teach from home in the Southside, many now teach online. The site says which, with your areas if you travel and the platform you use if online. A parent comparing three tutors wants the practical details first.

Sites we have built here.

Demo build, Glasgow

Diamante Flooring

A high end flooring showroom on Paisley Road West whose old website had gone. We built a ten page site to show what we would do.

Demo build, Kinning Park, Glasgow

Portman Paws

A dog groomer at 5 Portman Street in Kinning Park. We built the site on our dog groomer template with their own photos and logo.

Demo build, Shawlands, Glasgow

Starter Culture

An artisan cheese, wine and deli shop in Shawlands with 168 products on Shopify. We rebuilt the whole shop on our shop engine in their own look.

See your business on a website before you pay a penny.

Tell us what you do and Kai builds you a free preview on one of our designs. If you like it, it goes live on your own web address for £99 then £20 a month. If you don’t, you owe nothing.

What your website looks like.

The layout

A soft bar with a call button, a full photo with a box holding your headline and the places you currently have, your subjects as cards, and testimonials from parents.

Your photos

Four photo spots, made for your desk or books, you with a pupil, the space you teach in, and a certificate or results. Until you add yours, free example photos show you how it looks.

Good to know.

Can parents see whether I have space?

Yes. The template has a box at the top for the places you currently have, which you change from your login as the term fills up. A line like two evening slots free from January is what gets the enquiry.

Can I show my qualifications and PVG check?

Yes. Your degree, teaching qualification and PVG membership go on the site in your own words, and we only put on what you tell us you hold. Parents in Glasgow do ask, and it belongs on the page rather than in the first email.

Can I take bookings for a set lesson time?

Yes, through the bookings add on, which puts each lesson into your own Google Calendar with a confirmation to the parent. Many tutors prefer a first conversation, so we can use an enquiry form instead and keep the diary for regulars.

How much does it cost?

£99 for the website, then £20 a month hosting. £119 gets it live: the site plus your first month.

How quickly is it live?

Within 48 hours of payment, on your own web address.

Can I change it later?

Yes. You get your own login to change the words and photos whenever you like, and we make small changes for you when you ask.
