Websites for bakeries in Glasgow

Glasgow queues for a good bakery. Give the people walking past on a Saturday morning a reason to come in, and the people searching from their couch a reason to get up.

What matters for your trade here.

Morning rolls and the morning rush

A Glasgow bakery lives on the first few hours of the day: rolls, the person grabbing something before work, the school run. Your site needs your opening time at the top, in big letters, and a photo of what is on the counter at eight in the morning. If you sell out of certain bakes by ten, say so.

Which part of the city you serve

A bakery in the Southside draws from a few streets around it. One in the West End gets students and office workers. One in the East End gets regulars who have been coming for years. We write the site around the people who actually buy from you, and we put your neighbourhood in the words Google reads.

Orders for cakes and events

A lot of Glasgow bakeries make more from celebration cakes and office orders than from the counter. Your site can have a simple order enquiry form that lands in your inbox, with your lead times written plainly so people do not ring on a Thursday for a Saturday wedding cake.

Sites we have built here.

Demo build, Glasgow

Diamante Flooring

A high end flooring showroom on Paisley Road West whose old website had gone. We built a ten page site to show what we would do.

Demo build, Kinning Park, Glasgow

Portman Paws

A dog groomer at 5 Portman Street in Kinning Park. We built the site on our dog groomer template with their own photos and logo.

Demo build, Shawlands, Glasgow

Starter Culture

An artisan cheese, wine and deli shop in Shawlands with 168 products on Shopify. We rebuilt the whole shop on our shop engine in their own look.

See your business on a website before you pay a penny.

Tell us what you do and Kai builds you a free preview on one of our designs. If you like it, it goes live on your own web address for £99 then £20 a month. If you don’t, you owe nothing.

What your website looks like.

The layout

A cream page with your name centred, a big headline beside a short line about you, a full width photo of the counter, your story on a deep green band, the bakes as a priced list, a look inside and where to find you.

Your photos

Four photo spots, made for the counter full, a tray of bakes, bread on the shelves and the shop from outside. Until you add yours, free example photos show you how it looks.

Good to know.

Can people order a cake through the site?

Yes, through an enquiry form that comes to your email, with questions for the date, size and flavour. Payment is still between you and the customer unless you want a full online shop, which the site can become.

Do I need to put prices on the site?

You do not have to, but people ring less and walk in more when they already know the price of a loaf. We suggest listing the main bakes with prices and leaving bespoke cakes as quote on request.

What photos do I need?

Four good ones from your phone, taken in the morning when the counter is full and the light is coming in. The counter, a tray of bakes, the shelves and the shop from outside. We will tell you if any are too dark.

How much does it cost?

£99 for the website, then £20 a month hosting. £119 gets it live: the site plus your first month.

How quickly is it live?

Within 48 hours of payment, on your own web address.

Can I change it later?

Yes. You get your own login to change the words and photos whenever you like, and we make small changes for you when you ask.
