Luke and Jack: an adult shop demo with an over 18 gate
An adult shop at 45 Virginia Street in the Merchant City whose WordPress site was down. We built a shop demo that checks age before it shows anything.
See the demoA demo we built to show what we would do for this business. It is not their live site.
The demo, with their own words and photos.

What is in it
- Over 18 gate before anything shows
- 18+ tick box in the basket

Before
Luke and Jack is an adult shop at 45 Virginia Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City. Their WordPress site was down. A shop like this needs a few things an ordinary shop does not: an age check before anything is shown, a second confirmation at the basket, and a word about how orders are packed.
What we built
A shop demo built for an adult shop. An over 18 gate sits in front of the site, so nothing shows until a visitor confirms their age. In the basket there is an 18+ tick box that has to be ticked before going further. A plain packaging note tells customers how their order will arrive. The rest is a shop as we build any shop, with the age checks part of the path rather than in the way.
See your business on a website before you pay a penny.
Tell us what you do and Kai or Charlie builds you a free preview on one of our designs. If you like it, it goes live on your own web address for £99 then £20 a month. If you don’t, you owe nothing.
