How to make a website for a cafe
Menu, hours, photos, map, in that order. What to leave off, and what it costs.
See the templatesThe short answer: a cafe website has four jobs: show the menu, show the hours, show the place, show where it is. If it does those on a phone in under five seconds it is better than most. Everything else is decoration.
The four jobs
- Menu. As text, not a photo of a chalkboard. Prices on it. People search "menu" more than anything else about a cafe
- Hours. Including the odd ones: closed Mondays, kitchen stops at three. Mark today
- Photos. The room, the counter, three dishes, the outside so people recognise it
- Map. An embedded map with a tap to get directions
Leave off
A reservation system unless you take bookings. A blog. An "our story" longer than three lines. Music. A PDF menu that has to be downloaded.

A Google Business Profile with photos and hours is where most cafe searches land. Set that up today. The website is what the profile links to, and where the full menu lives.
What it costs
A builder is £16 to £17 a month and you make it. Our cafe template is £99 then £20 a month: menu with sections and prices, hours, a gallery, a map, and your own login to change the specials.
Prices in this post were checked on 2 October 2026.
See it with your name on it. Our cafe template is £99 then £20 a month. Fill it in for free and only pay when you want it live.
