Do I need a website for my dog grooming business?
When a groomer's website earns its keep, what goes on it, and what it costs.
See the templatesThe short answer: if you are full and turning dogs away, no. If you have gaps in the diary, yes, because the people filling them are typing "dog groomer near me" into Google, and Google does not show Facebook pages in that box. It shows businesses with a website and a Google listing.
What Facebook does and does not do
Facebook is where your existing customers see your photos. It is good at that. What it cannot do is put you in front of someone who has just moved to the area, got a puppy, and searched for a groomer at ten o'clock at night. That search goes to Google, Google shows the map, and the map shows businesses with a listing and a site. A page with your prices, your qualifications and a phone number is what turns that search into a booking.
What a grooming website needs
Not much, and nothing clever:
- Your phone number at the top, big enough to tap on a phone
- What you offer and what it costs, by size. Bath and tidy, full groom, hand stripping, puppy introduction
- Your qualifications and insurance, because owners check
- Photos of dogs you have groomed. Six is plenty
- Where you are and when you are open
A groomer who lists prices gets fewer time wasting calls. The people who ring already know what it costs.
What it costs
A website builder like Wix or Squarespace is £16 to £17 a month, checked on 2 October 2026, and you build it yourself. A freelancer is usually £1,200 to £2,000 for a few pages. Our dog groomer template is £99 to set up and £20 a month, you fill in the words and photos, and it is live within 48 hours on your own web address.
One thing to do today, website or not
Set up a free Google Business Profile with your address, hours and a few photos. It takes ten minutes and it is the single biggest thing that gets a groomer found. A website makes it work harder, but the listing comes first.
See it with your name on it. Our dog groomer template is £99 then £20 a month. Fill it in for free and only pay when you want it live.
