The basics

These appear at the top of your site, in the footer and in the contact section.

Your business name is needed. It is the first thing on the page.

Shows at the bottom of every page, in the browser tab and on Google. One short sentence about what you do and where.

Please enter a UK phone number, for example 07700 900123 or 0161 496 0000.

That does not look like an email address. Check for a missing @ or dot.

Your privacy policy and terms follow the rules for where you are based.

Towns or areas, separated by commas. This helps people nearby find you on Google.

Logo, if you have one

Optional. It sits next to your business name at the top of the site. A PNG with a see through background works best. No logo? Your name in your chosen lettering looks fine.

Social media

Optional. Paste the full web address of each page. They show as icons at the bottom of your site.

Contact section

A friendly line above your phone number and email at the bottom of the site.

The big heading

The first thing a visitor reads. Say what you do and why you are worth calling, in one sentence.

The button takes visitors further down your page.

Three quick reasons to trust you

Each one is a bold bit and a plain bit, separated by a bar. For example Gas Safe | registered or 12 years | in the trade. Leave any blank to hide it.

Each one becomes a card. Two is the minimum, six is plenty. Empty ones are left off the site.

Your products

Each product needs a name, a price and a photo. A square photo on a plain background looks best. Products with no name are left off the site.

Delivery

One delivery charge for the whole order. Leave the price empty if delivery is free.

Type a price, for example 3.95.

Type an amount, for example 40.

Optional. Leave empty for no free delivery.

Getting paid

Customers pay on Stripe's or PayPal's secure payment page and the money goes straight to your own account. Once your shop is live you connect Stripe from your editor, or we set up PayPal with you on the phone. You can offer both.

About you

Who you are, how long you have been going, and what customers can expect. Two short paragraphs is ideal.

Photos

Any photo marked "example" is only there to show the design. Replace it with your own, because real photos of you and your work beat stock images every time. Phone photos are fine. Landscape works best. The first photo is the big one at the top of your site.

Customer reviews

Copy in reviews real customers have given you, with a first name and area. Never make one up. Leave this empty and the section is hidden.

Announcement bar

A coloured strip across the top of your site. Switch it on for holidays, a new service or a price change, and off again after.

£119 to go live: the £99 site plus your first month of hosting. Send us your site below and we email you an invoice, payable by card or bank transfer. Your site is live within 48 hours of payment. Hosting then continues at £20 a month from month two. No minimum term: cancel whenever you like with a month's notice, and your web address, words and photos go with you.

Your web address is included as long as it costs under £10 a year, which covers a .co.uk and most others. If the one you want is dearer, we tell you the difference before anything is charged, and the same difference applies each year when it renews.

We need a name for the payment and the web address.

That does not look like an email address.

The invoice and everything about your site goes to this address.

Only used if something about your order needs a quick call.

Type the web address you would like, for example yourbusiness.co.uk.

Included and registered in your name. If it is already taken, or it costs more than £10 a year, we will suggest the nearest one and check with you first.

In case your first choice is taken. Saves a round of emails.

If someone sent you, put their referral code or their business name here. They get 10% of your build price as a thank you.
